This art piece is inspired and titled Ngā Manu a Ruakapanga. This art piece portrays the enchanting and mythical birds that guided and protected Ruakapanga as he journeyed from Hawaiki through the pacific to reach the land of Aotearoa (New Zealand) The subtle colour combinations and details were used to capitulate the authentic view and visual narrative of these mythical birds. These birds carry symbolic significance and can cross between both the physical and spiritual realms.
