Mangatuna

This painting is inspired by tuna (eels) and how they navigate through many different streams and rivers. They are considered a kaitiaki who protect our fresh water ways. This is also a traditional kōwhaiwhai pattern. You will commonly find this design in Taamoko and paintings.
